Race Mechanic Steve Drewery
Hi I am Steve and I am a Race Mechanic. I have been working for Race Force for 3 years & enjoying my the summer at Ironman events accross Europe. Having spent 30 years in the British Army I retrained as a qualified Race Mechanic. I have worked at Ironman / Challenge events in Mallorca, Barcelona, Italy, Copenhagen, Germany and France.. I have also worked on the Haute Route and Tour de France events with Race Force parent company Sports Tours International Ltd during 2019.
During my time since leaving the army I worked for a bicycle Carbon Repair business, stripping down, supervising reapiars then rebuilding bikes.
I have my own bicycle workshop in Derbyshire and love exploring the local countryside on my bike. Working at Race Force gives me a real buzz, its great to meet customers on our bike pick ups and then share their journey through the event and see them competing on the course.
