A charming historical city


Frankfurt is the European championship course and a popular spectator bike course. The finish line is in the heart of the old city. Visitors to the area can enjoy visting historical places such as the Römer, Paulskirche (Church), Frankfurt Zoological Garden, Goethe Museum, the old Opera House, several museums, and Alt Sachsenhausen. 



The 3.8 km swim course starts in the quiet waters of the Langener Waldsee. The  course has a short run between sections. . The water temperature is usually between 22°C and 24°C. The two-loop bike course which is closed to traffic takes athletes through the middle of Frankfurt, and into surrounding small villages..

Traditional Half-timbered houses in Maintal-Hochstadt where this is supposed to be a very crowdy place on race day! Bad Vilbel main road with a steep incline. This place is a special point creating a "Tour de France Atmosphere" with thousands of spectators along the street.


The run course is flat over 42km and consists of four fast laps, which allow athlete to reach their PB marathon times. The run course is lined with thousands of spectators who gather along the promenande next to the river.
