One of the things we love most about our job is that we get to meet some really cool & inspiring people. It made me think…… If I can get these people out there, give them a platform to share their stories, then maybe it will inspire others to do something crazy and aspire to a goal, whatever it maybe.
So that’s what we're doing. Over the next few weeks I’ll be introducing you to #teamraceforce. We are athletes on a journey and who are excited to share that with you. I’m starting this week with myself as I’m going through a tough time right now trying to juggle work, training, life and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one out there.
So who am i? I’m Kate, founder of Race Force, a consultant in the City of London & an budding Triathlete as well as someone who wants to go, see, touch, smell, taste, try & enjoy everything this amazing world has to offer.
How on earth do we do it all? If someone has the answers then please share it. For me, its all about choices, priorities & sacrifices and a very understanding group of family & friends. My choices & I guess therefore my priorities for this year are to grow my businesses, achieve a PB in the half Ironman distance and try to keep my friends & family by not becoming too self centered and neglecting them too much.
I’ve raced in Ironman & 70.3 races across France, Germany, Austria, Mexico, and the US. My long-term goal is to achieve a sub 3.40 marathon and knock 2 hours off my Ironman time to get it under the 13 hour mark. This years goals are to take 45 minutes of my 70.3 time at Mallorca 70.3 in May and beat that time again in Challenge Mallorca in October.
I’m also racing Liverpool Olympic distance in August and hope to get a PB there too. A year of PB’s!!
I ride a beautiful Cinelli Saetta called Gino. He was built for comfort more than speed so I’m on the look out for my next evolution in bike and will take inspiration from the many bikes I get to service this season although I’m tempted to stick with the Italians as the new range of Willier I as trying at The Edge Cycleworks are delicious!!!!
My wet suit was a rented Orca Equip which I ended up buying out of ease & price. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t fit and its full of holes so I’m ready for a new one and look forward to sharing that process with you in future posts.
I hope Team Race Force will give you stories you can relate to as well as some light entertainment and an opportunity for you to learn from our mistakes. At best I hope it inspires you to embark on a crazy fun filled journey like ours. #startnow #beinspired #teamraceforce
