We launched Team Race Force last year with a goal of giving inspiring athletes a platform to share the goals and their journeys to achieving them with our public in hope that people find things they can relate to and become inspired to embark on a journey themselves.
We’re just passed mid season and we already have had a couple of sub 11 hour Ironman times, a Kona qualification & 2 podium positions. Not bad for an amateur triathlon team with full time jobs, full time lives and families & kids to satisfy.
We are still yet to see some of our A races. Here is a summary of what they’ve been up to and where you will find the team over the next few months:
Paddy overcame all hurdles at IM Nice coming in with an incredible 10.45. He’s in recovery and prep for IM Sweden in a couple of weeks and we cant wait to be there for him on this one.
Grant Snr has been mashing up the podiums of the shorter distance races and has got some serious race miles under his belt already with Challenge Kraichgau & 70.3 Aix. His big one is IM Copenhagen where he is going for a PB and a decent age group rank for possible one of his last races in Europe for a wee while as he heads back home to Washington DC
Allie is so committed to her sport and has been great fun to be with at Mallorca 70.3 & IM Austria where she PB’s in both races, taking 30 mins off her half distance time. Allie is thinking of pulling out a cheeky little performance at Challenge Almere Long distance World Champs in Sept
Claire is our little pocket rocket but has had a terrible run of things with illness and bike issues but pulled out an incredible race at Ironman UK which secured her a slot at the Big one and will be representing the team out in Kona this year. With the mental strength of a Salmon swimming upstream we’re expecting Claire to shine out on the island
Gregg started his season with a solid performance at Outlaw half and raced a 10.51 at IM Frankfurt in extreme heat. Not happy with his run time he’s decided to take on IM Barcelona where he’s raced with success before.
Jennifer is debuting at Zell am See half distance at the end of August – Jennifer has been entertaining us all with her adventures in training, nutrition and life in general. Her worry is the great big hill they have stuck right in the middle of a once very flat bike course but she is not alone
The team share their journeys thorugh our blog as well as their really useful race reports so feel free to have a browse and if you would like to pick their brains then get in touch.
Next year we are taking Team Race Force back on a European tour. They are racing at the favourites next year and we’d like to invite you to join us.
