Our stats for next season are already showing an increase in women travelling with us. This is hopefully a reflection on the good service we provide to help make racing easier but even more hopefully this reflects the increase in women taking on the longer distance races.
Female particiaption in Ironman 70.3 & IM has previously been around 10-15% but this year saw 28% of the field at Kona being women, the highest proportion yet! IM UK 70.3 have also seen an increase to 20% for the 2015 race which is all great news and shows that Race Force are definitely ahead of the curve in terms of female participation.
I think the main reason for this is the comfort & confidence we can bring to your race by just having our mechanics on hand for you and if you book onto our bikebus service then you dont even have to box up your bike at all.
Our #RACEHOSTS go out of their way to soak up all the course logistics so you dont have to. They walk you through transition, take you out on your bike around parts of the course and take you to the swim start to practice your entry & exit so you can race confident & race strong.
We’d be really interested to hear your comments. Is there anything we can do at Race Force to get more women racing?
