UK Triathlon brands Bonk and Race Force today announce an exciting new alliance that will see a line of co-branded merchandise available later this year. The collaboration also sees Race Force retailing the 2015 Bonk collection at events all over Europe this summer.
As two young companies in the world of swim, bike & run, this is a uniquely exciting arrangement. Race Force will have its own line of branded apparel designed and engineered by Bonk, which has made a name for itself in recent times with its eye-catching Triathlon inspired t-shirts, hoodies and, more recently, performance wear.
In addition to its own merchandise, Race Force will stock the 2015 Bonk range in its race hubs at events throughout Europe this coming season, offering athletes all over the continent a chance to grab themselves some gear.
Race Force debuted on the European triathlon race scene at Ironman Austria in 2013. The founders are active, passionate triathletes who specialise in taking athletes and their bikes to Triathlon & Cycling events across Europe. Race Force offers a raft of boutique services ranging from pure bike transportation to all-inclusive packages, including flights, accommodation, race orientation, mechanical support and of course that all important safe bike transit - the bane of so many triathletes racing abroad.
Charlie Evans, Managing Director of Bonk says:
"We are delighted to be partnering with Race Force. Their team of hands-on race hosts and bike mechanics embrace the community feeling within the sport, which is embodied by the company mantra ‘together we race’. They make racing abroad fun, friendly and hassle free. We’re big fans of what they’re doing, because they offer a truly unique race experience and have a similar ethos to us.’’
Kate Linsley, Managing Director of Race Force says:
"We’re excited to be working with Bonk. We love their gear: it’s fun, different and great quality, plus their company culture really aligns with ours. So the opportunity to develop our own line of apparel, co-branded and developed by Bonk using their design expertise and manufacturing know-how was hugely appealing. It was a natural fit and we can’t wait to get things rolling in the summer.’
Notes to editor:
Grass roots label Bonk has made great strides over the past two years. Having broken convention with its swim, bike, run inspired lifestyle apparel, it followed up with a collection of technical training tops in 2014 and more is set to follow this year. Its alternative approach and fresh designs has received international recognition with online orders coming from all over the world. Bonk has established a retail and distribution network covering South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada, with more in the pipeline.
